About LexiConn
Humble beginnings...
We started LexiConn in 1996, back when the internet was just beginning to take off. Our first office was a bedroom with a computer and a phone line. Back then, we were using web hosts that were unreliable, and provided very poor support. We knew we could do better...
LexiConn was built with the foundation of truly supporting the client... providing dependable, reliable service year after year, all while offering a more personalized experience.
As we grew in the mid to late 90s, we began focusing on ecommerce and business hosting. We learned all we could about what online store owners needed and wanted from their web host. We've become quite skilled at helping merchants get the most out of their ecommerce stores, with an emphasis on ShopSite and Magento.
LexiConn today
Today, we host thousands of websites, the majority being ecommerce and small business clients. Even with our growth, we've *always* maintained and required that every email that comes in or goes out is read by everyone at LexiConn. It's challenging, but it is the linchpin to our success. It keeps everyone in tune with what is happening at all times, and allows us to provide seamless support regardless of who picks up the phone or answers an email.
At a time where web hosting is becoming more of a commodity, where customers are a number and most things are "hands-off", we're still squarely focused on providing personalized service, seeing each client as an important part of our success. We're a stark contrast to many other hosts that are out there today. But don't just take our word for it - see what our clients have to say about us.
Focus on quality
Our hosting infrastructure is also much different from most web hosts. Instead of trying to pack as many sites on each server, we purposely under-load our servers. This allows us to offer ultra-fast servers, ensuring each client always has a fast loading site, even when traffic spikes occur. Our hardware is top of the line, utilizing high-end multi-core CPUs, hardware RAID-10 controllers with battery back up, 15k rpm SAS drives, full Gigabit public and private network, and plenty of extra RAM to handle load spikes.
Backups are essential
Our commitment to maintaining reliable backups is often unmatched. We use a local drive to store five days worth of backups. We can restore any files or databases from any of these 5 backups for a client at any time. We also employ an Enterprise Continuous Data Protection (CDP) system, that take a backup of the entire server every 8 hours. This backup can be used to perform an entire server restore (bare metal restore) if the server had an issue and was not recoverable. In addition to these two backup systems, we perform a daily offsite backup to a geographically diverse datacenter for disaster recovery purposes.
