Last week in Part One, we took a look at how to quickly get your products into ShopSite using just the backoffice admin interface. If you have a large number of products, or you manage your product information with a database or spreadsheet application like Excel, using a web based interface may be too slow or cumbersome. This week we’ll look at using a database upload in ShopSite for easier product management.

Facebook found out that they could make their website faster and use less resources by converting their PHP code to compiled C++ code. The results were dramatic. If it’s good enough for Facebook, it stands to reason it’s probable a pretty good idea for ecommerce software as well.
